Web Developer with Potential for a Leadership Role at Rocket

Do you have 3–5 years of web development experience and want to grow into a leadership role? At Rocket in Lucerne, you’ll gradually take on more responsibility—for projects, technology, and eventually the team as well. You’ll help shape how we build websites, which tools we use, and how we meaningfully integrate AI into our daily work. Real projects, exciting clients from all over Switzerland—and a team that thinks proactively instead of just going with the flow.

Your Profile

Are you a passionate developer who thinks beyond the next deployment and isn’t interested in just endlessly working through tickets? Do you want to write code, advise clients, and help shape the direction of our journey? Then you’re a great fit for us.

What you bring to the table:

• Background — Completed training as a mediamatician, computer scientist, or in a comparable field, supplemented by continuing education at a university of applied sciences or higher vocational school (currently enrolled or completed)
• Experience — 3–5 years of practical experience in web development, ideally in an agency or digital environment
• Next Level — You’ve successfully completed your first projects on your own and are now ready to take on more responsibility—both professionally and personally
• Tech Stack — extensive experience with PHP (Symfony, Laravel), HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript (Vanilla JS, React, Vue.js, Next.js)
• WordPress — you develop custom themes, block themes, custom Gutenberg blocks, and bespoke extensions
• Infrastructure — Proficient in Docker, Linux, MariaDB, and MySQL — For you, a stable infrastructure is the foundation of good software
• Software Engineering — You apply modern software architecture principles not only in theory but also in practice. You advise internal and external stakeholders on IT and architecture decisions, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and sustainable solutions
• Tooling — Git, CI/CD, Node/NPM, and modern front-end frameworks are part of your daily routine
• Integrator — you have experience with API integrations (HR tools, Mailchimp, CRM) and tracking setups (GA4, GTM)
• AI mindset — you try out new tools, question them, and see opportunities rather than hype
• Good vibes — an easygoing team player who’s clear about what needs to be done and treats others fairly. Toxic vibes? Not here.
• Drive — reliable, proactive, and not the type to sit around waiting for answers
• Languages — fluent German, good English

Your area of activity

At Rocket, you’ll be the tech expert at the table and a sounding board for concept, design, and consulting. Specifically, this means:

• You will be responsible for our web projects, from technical design through implementation to launch.
• You’ll advise our clients on integrations, hosting setups, and analytics tools—in a clear and accessible way, and on an equal footing.
• You'll help shape our tech stack, processes, and quality standards.
• You’ll be driving how we integrate AI and new technologies into our daily work and customer projects.
• You will gradually grow into a leadership role—with the prospect of taking on technical and managerial responsibilities for the web team.n Skill
