AI-generated images in advertising AI-generated images, stock photos and self-taken photos all have their advantages and disadvantages - depending on the purpose for which they are used. For a clear presentation of these differences, we also enlisted the help of artificial intelligence - namely ChatGPT. Our verdict: The robot's explanations are surprisingly consistent with our own experiences. Here are the main differences according to ChatGPT - minimally enhanced by us for better readability: Uniqueness AI-generated images are usually unique and have no doppelganger. In contrast, stock photos are accessible to many people and companies and are therefore frequently used. Your own photos are also unique, but creating your own photos takes time, effort and often money. Flexibility AI-generated images can be flexibly adapted to the specific requirements of a project. Stock photos and own photos are often not as flexible, as they are already fixed in their design and execution. Quality Stock photos are usually of high quality and available in a variety of sizes and formats. AI-generated images can also be of high quality, but the quality may vary depending on how the AI models have been trained. Custom photos can be of high quality if they have been taken by a professional photographer. Authenticity Own photos can have a higher authenticity as they reflect reality. However, AI-generated images and stock photos can also be authentic, depending on how they are used and how well they can be integrated into a specific project. Costs Stock photos can be inexpensive or even free, while creating your own photos often involves higher costs. AI-generated images are usually also inexpensive as they can be generated automatically. Conclusion Each type of image has its pros and cons and the choice depends on the specific use case. AI-generated images offer flexibility and uniqueness, while stock photos offer a wide range of high-quality images and custom photos can have a higher authenticity. We will be happy to weigh up all the options for you and advise you on which type of image is best suited to your needs and when.
